At Moreland Community Child Care Centres (MCCCC), we acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the Land on which we live, work, and play. We honour the enduring connections that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to Country, and we value their rights as First Nations peoples.

Our vision for reconciliation is to strengthen awareness and understanding of the worlds oldest living cultures across our services and among staff, children, and the wider community. As early childhood educators, we recognise our unique opportunity to shape young minds and prepare them for a world built on respect, equity, and inclusion.

Reconciliation at MCCCC means actively engaging with our community to acknowledge and build meaningful relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We are committed to embedding First Nations peoples perspectives respectfully and intentionally in our daily practices and curriculum.

We will continue to support staff in accessing high-quality professional learning that deepens cultural responsiveness and confidence. Our goal is to foster a culturally safe and welcoming environment that embraces inclusivity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and for all members of our learning community.

Our journey towards reconciliation is guided by respect for the histories, cultures, and contributions of First Nations peoples. By building and maintaining strong partnerships with Traditional Custodians and local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, we continue to enrich our knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures, and promote the wellbeing of all childrenso that every child can grow up strong, proud, and connected to their unique identities.

At MCCCC, our vision is to strengthen childrens awareness of the worlds oldest living cultures and to work towards reconciliation for future generations.
